Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstanis can now voluntarily refuse to receive bank loans and microloans for an unlimited period of time. The new service has been introduced on the eGov.kz portal.
Previously, the ban on obtaining loans and microloans could only be set for 6 months, after which it would be automatically lifted.
"Only the citizen themselves can apply for this service. The ban on obtaining loans and microloans is set for an indefinite period. Users can also remove the established restrictions on obtaining loans and microloans at any time. To do this, it is necessary to submit a request for early termination of the service on the eGov.kz portal," the statement reads.
To use the service, the user needs to:
- Log in to the eGov.kz portal and go to the "Customs and Taxes" section;
- Select "Economy and Finance" from the list, then choose the service "Voluntary refusal to receive bank loans, microloans";
- Fill out the required fields and sign the application using an electronic digital signature (EDS);
- Check the result of the service in the personal account.
To remove previously set restrictions, the user needs to:
- Select the service "Voluntary refusal to receive bank loans, microloans";
- Answer "Yes" to the question "Do you want to unsubscribe?" and sign the application using one of the available signing methods.
It is noted that the service has been implemented as part of amendments to legislative acts, which establish the right of individuals to remove their voluntary refusal to receive bank loans and microloans.
Recall that on September 1, new rules came into effect in Kazakhstan regarding the requirement for spousal consent for the provision of loans or microloans. The minimum amount of such a loan will be 1,000 MRP (3.6 million tenge in 2024 - ed.). The law stipulates that the lender is obligated to write off any loan issued without the borrower’s spouse’s consent.
Previously, Kazakhstanis are calling to raise the age for compulsory military service.
