Tengrinews.kz — The three main stages of military service in Kazakhstan—conscription, taking the oath, and demobilization—will adopt a new format. This was announced by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the 12th "Aibyn" International Youth Military-Patriotic Gathering in Shchuchinsk, citing Akorda.
Addressing the participants, the Head of State emphasized that Kazakhstan places great importance on the comprehensive development of the younger generation. According to the President, the country faces a strategically vital task: to raise youth who understand the core values of the state.
"Military service must become a crucial, key stage in educating genuine patriots. Therefore, I have supported the initiative aimed at modernizing army traditions in accordance with the principle: 'Adal azamat – Sarbaz – Otan qorgauyshy' ('Responsible Citizen – Warrior – Defender of the Fatherland')," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
According to the President, the new ceremonial procedures will imbue conscription, the oath, and demobilization with special significance and symbolism.
"It will strengthen the continuity of generations and significantly enhance the prestige of the army both among the youth and within society as a whole," the Head of State noted.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that being a soldier is a high honor, and everyone who has served with dignity in the Armed Forces should enjoy the respect and recognition of society.
"Together, we will ensure that parents take pride in their sons and daughters who have chosen the path of military service. In other words, active and responsible patriotism means conscientious work in all sectors, including military service," the President emphasized.
The Head of State also noted that respect for state symbols and civic responsibility must form the foundation of every young person's worldview.
"In today's world, where wars rage, military conflicts flare up, sanctions are imposed on states, and the global situation becomes increasingly unpredictable, indifference toward one's own country can lead to severe consequences for ourselves and our citizens," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
During his speech, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also claimed that the future of Kazakhstan lies in the hands of patriotic, educated, hardworking, and creative youth.
