Tengrinews.kz – A collision between two boats in Aktau left two people injured, including a minor, according to Lada.kz.
The incident occurred in the evening on September 13 at around 7:30 PM near the large pier across from the Melovoy lighthouse.
The injured individuals were hospitalized by ambulance, and police officers were dispatched to the scene.
According to preliminary reports, the accident may have been caused by the actions of one of the boat captains.
The Breeze Yacht Club explained that, according to navigation rules, when two boats are on head-on courses, they should pass each other on their left sides. However, one boat turned right as required by the rules, while the other turned left, resulting in the collision.
A video of the incident was also shared on social media, filmed by a passenger on the boat Elise.
The footage shows passengers, including children, relaxing on board, followed by the moment of impact with the boat Izi. Screams can be heard immediately after the crash.
