According to the Zhetysu Regional Prosecutor's Office, the blocked Telegram channels were involved in the illegal promotion and sale of drugs.
"During a social media monitoring, regional prosecutors identified channels and websites created to promote, advertise, and sell narcotic and psychotropic substances in the region," the statement read.
The prosecutor’s office emphasized that work in this area is ongoing.
"As a result, 30 drug-related channels advertising narcotics were blocked using the 'Cybernadzor’ information system," the agency reported.
Earlier, it was reported that 18 Telegram channels were blocked in Shymkent and 16 blocked in Almaty.
