Facebook access has been limited for some of Kazakhstan users, Tengrinews.kz reports citing head of the public relation service of KazakhTelecom Julia Issakova. “The accident happened not at KazakhTelecom (Kazakhstan national telecommunication network operator and Internet provider), it happened outside of Kazakhstan. We are now finding out about the operator. Facebook and several payment websites are among the temporarily unavailable websites,” Issakova said. According to KazakhTelecom, Kazakhstan company has agreements with foreign operators. If the foreign partners face some problems, Kazakhstan Internet users suffer as well. Head of the public relations service added that the problems with access to some of the websites and connection speed was not the Kazakhstan provider’s fault. According to KazakhTelecom, all failures were eliminated by 11:10 a.m. on March 14.
