The share of renewable energy sources in Kazakhstan will make 10 percent by 2030, Tengrinews.kz reports.
"Kazakhstan Ministry of Environmental Protection created a work group jointly with Samruk-Energo and KEGOC, that is currently working to develop an efficient mechanism for the industry. They are preparing amendments to the legislation on renewable energy that will help attract more resources into Kazakhstan's energy sector. These are wind power stations, hydro-power stations and photo-elements that we are talking about," Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev said at the government meeting on energy in Kazakhstan.
Besides, Issekeshev stated that construction of a heat power station is planned in Torgai coal basin by 2020.
