Air Astana and Scat airlines will launch several new international flights, acting executive secretary of Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications Roman Sklyar told KazTAG. “By the end of the year Air Astana and Scat airlines are to launch new international flights Almaty-Hong Kong, Astana-Ulan Bator, Almaty-Ho Chi Minh, Astana-Kazan, Almaty-Sanya. In the end of August Air Astana will start regularly performing flight Astana-Beijing-Astana,” he said. According to Sklyar, a tender will be held in August to select the passenger railroad carrier for a socially significant route Karaganda-Petropavlovsk-Omsk. Besides, Sklyar said, socially significant routes will be added with new railroad routes Astana-Dostyk (Urumqi), Almaty-Zhetygen-Altynkol this year. These routes will be launched in January 2013.
