Experts comment development of Kazakhstan tourism

Researches have expressed their opinion on the way to feasibly develop tourism in Kazakhstan. It is possible to develop Kazakhstan tourism without big investments, Tengrinews.kz quotes Ilya Fishman, Kazakh Geographical Society member, as saying. “We should start with the raising awareness first of all. Tourism can be developed through backpackers. They will bring money and contribute to the budget. Then we could start developing infrastructure use this money,” Ilya Fishman said at the First International Conference Earth’s and People Potential that was held by Kazakh Geographical Society in Astana. The researchers say that a recent UNESCO poll shows that 70% of tourists don’t need any facilities and top notch service. These people would prefer a camping ground to a hotel. “We’ve got everything that is needed for tourism in Kazakhstan right now. When we start speaking about tourism, some people demand a lot of money for its development. We should not start with money. Of course, the support of the state is required to develop the infrastructure. But development is not only about money,” Fishman said.
