Nazarbayev told about the future of Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports. “The work will be continued to create a modern transport infrastructure and set up world-class services in Almaty. Almaty has to become the country’s leader in terms of implementation of the “city of the future” technologies, ensure excellent security level, maintain environmentally friendly development and provide comfort to foreign citizens,” Nazarbayev said when telling foreign investors about the idea of the New Silk Way project. “'One contact' principle (of issuing documents and permits) will be introduced for foreign businessmen and investors in Almaty. We will be offering a full package of services through a simplified procedure. This will include visas, different permits, contacts with state authorities and even registration of companies. An international commodity market has to be created in cooperation with Asian and European markets to service all cargo flows via Kazakhstan. Increase in the number of commercial operations and commodities turnover has to boost development of the Regional Financial Center of Almaty. That’s what we hope for,” Kazakhstan President said. He also expressed an opinion that all other Kazakhstan cities have to “introduce similar large-scale transformations” along with Almaty. Besides, the President noted that Astana airport will be developed as an international hub along with its cargo transit capacities. By Renat Tashkinbayev
