Nazarbayev opened Kazakhstan media-center in Astana

Nazarbayev opened Kazakhstan media-center Kazmedia Ortalygy in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports. TV and radio complex is a 22-storied building capable of sustaining full-scale work of TV channels. The equipment of the center will allow to make any TV shows, series and even complete movies. “All Hollywood movies are made indoors. We have all the capacities. This media-center has the best equipment in the world. We have spent 33 billion tenge ($224.5 million) to purchase the equipment,” Kazakhstan President told the managers of state media. “The government understands that media is the sector that props competitiveness of the country and shows our success and achievements, educates people, promotes culture, i.e. I am expecting quality to increase as a result. First of all, Kazakhstan content has to be over 50 percent. And I think that the your output, media workers, has to be adequate to increase the quality of the product. Kazakhstan content has to be unique and professional level of journalists has to be high and we need to work on developing our country.” The new TV and radio complex will have offices for Khabar, Caspionet, Kazakhstan, Balapan, Mir Interstate TV and radio company, Channel One Eurasia, Madeniyet, Bilim, Khabar-24, as well as Kazakh, Shalkar and Astana radio stations. Kazakhstan Temir Zholy was the one that requested and constructed the Kazakhstan media-center.
