Medical tourism to Astana is becoming more popular among foreigners, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of the National Medical Holding. “State Diagnostics Center and State Scientific Center of Neurosurgery are becoming more popular among foreigners. 99 foreign patients have already used the services of the diagnostics center and 12 patients came for treatment to the neurosurgery center. Around 150 foreign citizens have received treatment in the hospitals of the National Medical Holding. These are mainly the citizens of the United States, Turkey, Great Britain, Russia, India, Australia and Kyrgyzstan,” the message states. According to the experts, almost all types of neurosurgeries made in the Neurosurgery Center are cheaper than those made abroad. But in spite of the costs they are made at the highest level, which is very attractive for foreign patients. Over 4 thousand patients have received treatment in the Neurosurgery Centers; 2,300 surgeries a year are made in the center. Over 30 new surgical technologies have been implemented in 4 years of the Center’s work.
