Tengrinews.kz - A milk drink with added turmeric, cardamom, or pepper can help strengthen the immune system, reduce the risks of cancer, and aid in overcoming insomnia, said dietitian Dr. Mikhail Ginzburg.

According to the doctor, studies have shown that the more of these ingredients are included in one's diet, the lower the chances of encountering the mentioned health issues.

"By linking the consumption of these spices to cancer and age-related diseases, we see a negative correlation everywhere, meaning that the more of these spices in the diet, the less frequent these adverse outcomes of aging are," said Ginzburg.

The specialist also noted that an important feature of the mentioned spices is that they are fat-soluble, making them compatible with milk. Additionally, they have anti-inflammatory properties.

Dr. Ginzburg also recommended adjusting one's diet after reaching the age of 45, suggesting a reduction in milk intake and an increase in the consumption of fermented dairy products.

Previously, scientists from the Washington University School of Medicine discovered that regular coffee consumption can increase the population of potentially beneficial gut bacteria, specifically Lawsonibacter asaccharolyticus.
