On 17 July, UMC clinics in the capital successfully transplanted donor organs for three patients who were on the waiting list. The donor was a 44-year-old woman with confirmed brain death. Her family agreed to the donation, giving five people a new lease on life.

"A 43-year-old patient received a donor heart transplant, having previously used an LVAD. A second patient received a lung transplant and a 15-year-old girl at the UMC Maternal and Child Health Centre received a kidney transplant," the statement said.

As reported in the press service of the clinic, the condition of all patients is satisfactory, they are undergoing rehabilitation under the supervision of specialists.

"National Scientific Oncological Centre of Astana transplanted the second donor kidney and liver. Heart and lung transplantation is possible only from a postmortem donor with confirmed brain death, but the decision is made by the donor's relatives", - said in the press service.
