Monthly inflation rate
According to the Bureau, the monthly consumer price index in September slowed down to 0.4% (down from 0.6% in August). Prices for paid services increased by 1%, while non-food items rose by 0.6%. The price index for food products remained unchanged.
Monthly price increases:
- University tuition: +10.3%
- Firewood: +2.9%
- Coal: +2.5%
- Cucumbers: +11.9%
Monthly price decreases:
- Potatoes: -13.5%
- Grapes: -10.3%
- Onions: -10%
Annual inflation rate:
The annual inflation rate in September stood at 8.3%. Prices for paid services increased by 13.6%, non-food items by 7.6%, and food products by 5.1%.
Compared to September of last year, the tariffs for central heating rose by 33%, cold water by 29.4%, wastewater services by 24%, electricity by 23.7%, waste removal by 18.1%, hot water by 17.4%, and gas transported through distribution networks by 12%.
