Over 600 kilograms of fish illegally caught by poachers in Borovoe

Tengrinews.kz - On Lake Zhukey, authorities apprehended poachers with over 600 kilograms of illegally caught fish, according to the Burabay National Park.

On September 19, during a joint raid by inspectors from the Temnoborskoe Forestry, poachers were discovered fishing illegally. Residents of Astana were using nets to catch fish. Upon inspection, authorities found more than 600 kilograms of carp and over 8 kilograms of crucian carp in their possession.

All materials related to this violation have been forwarded to the police department of the Birzhan Sal district for further investigation.

In the comments under the park's social media post, users expressed their shock at the catch. Comments included: "What a horror," "They should publish their photos!," "They should be sentenced to long prison terms with property confiscation. They will be smarter afterward," and "We want to see their faces."

Lake Zhukey is located in Akmolinskaya Region and is part of the Borovoe lakes.
