Tengrinews.kz – The interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, which is being referred to as an “alien spacecraft”, will approach Jupiter on March 16, 2026, according to RIA Novosti.
This was reported by the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
“Passing by Jupiter - even without any conspiratorial theories - is one of the most remarkable features of 3I/ATLAS’s orbit,” scientists said in their official Telegram channel.
According to IKI RAS, statistically, 3I/ATLAS should not have intersected with the outer planets of the Solar System at all.
Experts believe that this new maneuver of the “alien spacecraft” will spark another wave of theories about the object's nature and speculations about its supposed intentions as it approaches the gas giant.
