The main avenue of Aktobe city has been flooded since early morning. The water pipeline rapture occurred at the crossroad of Abulkhair-Khan avenue and Patsayev street near the regional Akimat (local executive authorities headquarters) on April 20 at 5:00 am, Tengrinews.kz reports.
Patsayev street is closed for traffic, yards of surrounding houses have been completely flooded and residents of nearby high-rise apartment buildings have no tap water now. Akbulak company is working at the accident site, but they still have not found the exact location of the rapture in the pipe. Pipes in this section haven’t been replaced for the last 70 years.
