One person died and dozens were injured after a train derailed in the Moscow metro on Tuesday, AFP reports according to the Interfax news agency citing medics.
At least 50 people were injured, the RIA Novosti news agency reported, citing the Moscow city authorities, while Interfax cited medics as saying one person died.
A statement from the metro said only that a train derailed on the underground's blue line earlier in the day, without providing any details.
Interfax earlier reported, citing a source in the city's emergencies services, that two passengers had received serious injuries and had been evacuated by helicopter.
Moscow police declined to comment. Calls to the Moscow metro and the Moscow branch of the emergencies ministry went unanswered.
