Tengrinews.kz - A man required medical assistance after consuming two cans of an energy drink.
The details of the incident were reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.
"In the middle of the night, a call was received at the highway medical rescue station about the health condition of one of the passengers in a car, which was traveling from Almaty to Karaganda," the statement said.
Upon arrival, the emergency medical team diagnosed the man, born in 1981, with "acute pancreatitis," which developed after consuming two cans of an energy drink.
The rescuers provided first aid and transported him to the hospital in Balkhash.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded that excessive consumption of energy drinks can negatively impact a person’s health.
Recall that in Kazakhstan, a ban has been introduced on the sale of energy drinks to teenagers. The corresponding law was signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in July.
