The Civil Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan investigated the incident and found several violations.

Catalin Radu, the head of the Civil Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, noted that the owner of the aircraft had failed to register it in the state registry.

“The aircraft did not have a valid certificate of airworthiness, and the pilot lacked the necessary qualifications and a license to conduct flights,” said Catalin Radu.

The head of the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan also discussed the recent unplanned inspections.

“Due to recent events in general aviation, we have been conducting both unplanned and scheduled inspections since the beginning of the year. We remind that for flights in recreational areas, aircraft and pilots must have the appropriate documentation,” he noted.

In July, a hang glider carrying two people crashed into the water at Lake Alakol near the village of Akshi in the Alakol District, Zhetysu Region.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported the incident, confirming that both individuals on board were rescued after the glider plunged into the water. Both were hospitalized in serious condition.
