A Nissan Cefiro has exploded in the center of Almaty city, Tengrinews reports.
The accident happened on Gogol Street near the crossing with Seifulin Avenue. The car was driven by a young woman. Fortunately, she managed to stop the car and get out right before it exploded.
She has been taken to a hospitalized in a state of shock. According to witnesses she did not receive any serious injuries in the explosion.
According to Territory of Accidents show of STB TV Channel, the young woman had a gas cylinder in the trunk. A failure of the cylinder is the most likely cause of the explosion, but it was the smell of the gas that saved her life: she smelled the gas and knew that something was wrong, so she immediately stopped the car and got out.
According to the witnesses, there were two explosions and they tore the car very badly.
