Tengrinews.kz - The court reviewed the case concerning the July 20 accident at the ferroalloy plant in Karaganda, specifically the fact that employees of the Department of Emergency Situations were not allowed into the plant's premises for 40 minutes.

"The Specialized Interdistrict Administrative Court of Karaganda has reviewed the case of an administrative offense related to the obstruction of government agencies performing their duties at YDD Corporation in Karaganda," the court reported.

The court established that on July 20, a flame ejection occurred from a boiler at the ferroalloy plant, resulting in injuries to 8 workers.

"Upon arrival at the scene, employees of the Department of Emergency Situations of Karaganda Region were not allowed onto the plant’s premises by representatives of YDD Corporation for 40 minutes," the court noted.

The Department of Emergency Situations initiated an administrative case for obstructing government control and oversight agencies in the performance of their duties and sent it to court.

In court, the company's representative did not acknowledge the fact of obstruction.

The court ruled that the company was at fault and imposed a fine of 738,400 tenge.

The decision has not yet come into legal force.

Recall that on July 20, a sudden fire eruption occurred in Karaganda at furnace No. 1 of a ferroalloy plant, resulting in injuries to eight workers of the enterprise. The injured workers sustained varying degrees of injuries.
