Astana hospitality business workers have undergone training and received international certificates as a part of the city's preparations for the EXPO-2017, Tengrinews reports.
The seminars and training sessions were organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture of Turkey, Kazakhstan Hotels and Restaurants Association and Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan.
The training was conducted by representatives of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The course included front office training, housekeeping, food production, food and beverage service.
According to Mukhit Saimasayev, Vice-Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee, the seminars and training sessions were very timely considering the upcoming EXPO-2017 to be held in Astana. “The committee hopes that this event would contribute to the development of tourism in our country and consequently affect building of a positive image of Kazakhstan at the international arena. (…) Turkey has a great experience in developing tourism and we are glad that experts from Turkey came to our country to help improve the quality of our hospitality services,” Saimasayev said.
“I think that all those who attended the training were satisfied. Besides, they received international certificates after the training. I hope that they will use what they have learned in their work,” Elnura Dzhashimova of the Kazakhstan Hotels and Restaurants Association said. She added that the Association planed to arrange a series of similar seminars and training sessions in future.
