95 billion tenge distributed to unemployed Kazakh citizens: how to apply

Tengrinews.kz – The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan reported that 95 billion tenge has been distributed to unemployed citizens through social benefits.

As of October 1, 285,200 people were receiving unemployment benefits from the State Social Insurance Fund (SSIF), with 240,500 citizens granted payments in 2025 alone.

Eligible workers can receive social payments for 1 to 6 months, depending on their contributions to the mandatory social insurance system and income over the past 24 months. Payments amount to up to 45% of lost income and are funded by the SSIF.

How to apply:

• Log in to the eGov.kz portal.
• Under “Employment and Job Placement,” select “Registration of Job Seekers.”
• Complete the online application, sign it with a digital signature, and submit.
• Within one day, the local career center will suggest available vacancies.
• If no employment is found, the applicant will receive unemployed status remotely within three business days. A career center employee may contact the applicant if additional information is required.

The service is also available via the Electronic Labor Exchange (enbek.kz).

Registered unemployed individuals may receive an SMS from the Ministry offering to process SSIF payments proactively. Replying to the SMS confirms consent, and the payment is issued automatically.
