Tengrinews.kz - More than 3,500 people have been evacuated due to raging wildfires in Turkey, according to Anadolu Agency.

Turkish authorities report that wildfires have spread across five provinces: Izmir, Aydın, Bolu, Mugla, and Manisa. A massive response effort is underway, involving 4,717 personnel and over 1,200 pieces of equipment. Authorities are working tirelessly to contain the fires.

"As a precautionary measure, 3,583 citizens have been evacuated to safe areas," stated Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority.

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that 69 of the fires have been brought under control, while six remain active.

Aerial support has been crucial in battling the blazes, with aircraft dropping 7,662 tons of water over the past two days. A total of 2,134 flights have been made, accumulating 583 flight hours.

Greece is also severely affected by wildfires, with neighboring countries providing support.
