Trial over Kazakhstan-born Fischenko tranferred to New York

Hearings of the military espionage case that involves Kazakhstan-born Russian national Aleksander Fischenko have been transferred from Houston to New York. The first hearing will take place on October 17, Aleksey Tarassov, American lawyer representing anotherRussian citizen Anastassiya Dyatlova, told Tengrinews.kz. A paid lawyer will protect Fischenko in court. According to the prosecutors, Fischenko established a company called Arc Electronics that he allegedly used to illegally supply high-tech microschemes that could be used is different armament systems. Later several Kazakhstan companies and individuals were put on the U.S. Department of Commerce blacklist in relation to this case. Fischenko was born in Almaty, graduated from Almaty College of Service and worked as a photographer. He lost Kazakhstan citizenship, lived in Russia for a long time and then moved to the U.S. According to Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry, there are no Kazakh citizens among those apprehended in the U.S. in suspicion of the military espionage.
