Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee (NSC) has reported on special operations carried out with the involvement of foreign agencies.
According to the agency, since the beginning of the year, 11 international and 3 regional drug trafficking channels have been dismantled, and the activities of 5 clandestine laboratories have been neutralized.

“In cooperation with the competent authorities of foreign states, 10 international anti-drug operations were carried out. As a result, about 240 kilograms of drugs were seized, including 3.1 kilograms of heroin, 8 kilograms of methamphetamine, 53.5 kilograms of opium, 74.2 kilograms of hashish, 80.9 kilograms of marijuana, and 19.3 kilograms of psychotropic substances, as well as more than 3 tons of precursors,” the NSC said.
Forty-three citizens of Kazakhstan and eight foreign nationals were detained on suspicion of committing these offenses.

Pre-trial investigations are underway.
