The case of Peter Baruch, the British national charged with corrupting minors and making child pornography in Kazakhstan, will be transferred to court in mid April, Tengrinews reports citing Moi Gorod.

Baruch is currently under arrest, but his temporary detention term ends on April 10. Magauiya Kurmashev of the Criminal Investigation Department said that Baruch’s notebook, an evidence in the case, is still being examined.

“We received five complaints against Baruch from Uralsk and seven more from Atyrau. As soon as the experts release their statements with results of the examination of the laptop, the case will be transferred to court,” Kurmashev said.

Baruch was arrested on January 14, 2014 after the mother of a 13 y.o. girl filed a complaint against him claiming that the foreigner was taking photos of her naked daughter. The police recovered several hundreds of photos of underage girls from the notebook of the 38 y.o. British national. Baruch attempted to destroy the evidences when he saw the police on his doorstep, but a forensic team was able to recover the files.

The former Kashagan worker is charged with Production and distribution of child pornography, and engaging minors in pornographic events and with Corruption of minors.
