National air company Air Astana plans to launch six new airline flights, Tengrinews.kz reports. Flights to Hong Kong (China), Ulan-Bator (Mongolia), Colombo (Sri-Lanka), Beijing (China), and also presumably to Amman (Jordan) and Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) will be launched soon, announced Peter Foster, president of the company, at the press-conference. Passengers will travel to Beijing, the capital of China, from Astana, said the head of the company. It hasn't yet been announced from what city the other flights will depart. “We are going to launch the flight to Hong Kong this year. However, it depends on whether Kazakhstan residents are allowed to travel to China without visas. Moreover, we are planning to launch five more new flights to other countries next year,” Foster said. Air Astana have launched flights to Tbilisi (Georgia) and to Samara (Russia) earlier this year. These flights are performed by a new airliner Embraer-190 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
