Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan seismologists recorded an earthquake 122 kilometers from Almaty.
The tremors were recorded by the network of seismic stations of the National Scientific Center for Seismological Observations and Research of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on March 3 at 11:05 AM Astana time.
"The epicenter is located 122 kilometers southwest of Almaty in Kyrgyzstan. The earthquake's energy class is 9.9. The MPV magnitude is 4.3," the report says.
In Kazakhstan, the tremors were not felt, the Ministry of Emergency Situations added.
According to the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the earthquake's source was located on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, 5 kilometers northwest of the village of Ala-Bash.
In the settlements of Kyrgyzstan, the intensity of the earthquake was: the village of Ala-Bash, Tuura-Suu 2.5 points.
