Tickets for the presentation concert The Spirit of Tengri-2014 festival DVD are now on sale, Tengrinews reports. Organizers of the largest in Central Asia contemporary ethnic music festival said the tickets had become available at the cash desks of Meloman stores and online at Zakazbiletov.kz.
The concert will take place on November 26 in the great hall of Almaty Towers (Baizakov 280, Satpaev corner) at 8 pm. The public will have a chance to once again see some of the bands that took part in the festival in summer - Namgar (Buryatia) and Argymak (Bashkortostan). The organizers said the musicians prepared a special program for the event. The guests will enjoy the magic sound of contemporary ethnic music brought to them by the popular representatives of the genre.
In addition, the DVD-version of The Spirit of Tengri 2014 festival will be sold at the concert and there will be an opportunity to purchase it before it hits the stores the next day.
The concert, organized by Tengri FM radio together with Kaspi bank, will please the fans of contemporary ethnic music not only with high-quality sound thanks to the state-of-the-art equipment, but also with stunning light effects.
Tengri FM radio is known in Kazakhstan for its large-scale concerts. Among these festivals and concerts are At the Top of Tengri, First Rock Award of Kazakhstan and the second festival of contemporary ethnic music The Spirit of Tengri-2014 that took place on June 7 in Almaty and was attended by more than eight thousand people.
Lasting for more than seven hours, the concert featured musicians from a variety of countries, including Kazakhstan, Russia’s Bashkortostan, Buryatia, Altai and Tuva, Austria, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Georgia and Ecuador.
A fan of The Spirit of Tengri project, musician, producer and philanthropist Yerlan Stambekov said that he would definitely attend the November 26 concert. According to him, the upcoming grand show is an exclusive event.
"In my opinion, this is really a unique and interesting event that we can enjoy together with Tengri FM radio. We will see our favorite bands at the concert. (...) We will once again become engrossed in the world of our music, the music of the steppes that was born many centuries ago but still remains relevant. It is an emotional, spiritual, musical fountain that awakens the most amazing and positive feelings in people,” Stambekov said.
A special two-disc edition The Spirit of Tengri-2014 contains extensive material. Besides a 1.5-hour recording of the best performances of each of the artists who graced the summer stage of The Spirit of Tengri, the edition also contains the best hits of participants in a studio format. The music tracks on the CD and the DVD are not the same. The DVD also includes a photo album of the festival.
Anticipating the release of the DVD the organizers held a live concert of contemporary ethnic music again in October calling the musical show "Voices of Autumn". The key figure at that concert was a Tuvan musician, multi-instrumentalist, virtuoso throat singer Radik Tyulyush. He was accompanied by a Kazakh DJ Nariman Issenov and a vocal ensemble "Kazyna". Here is a fragment of the concert with Tyulyush performing.
The general producer of The Spirit of Tengri FM Zhan Kasteyev said that Namgar and Argymak had their tours booked out for several years to come, so it was a great luck to get them both to perform on the Kazakh stage in late November.
"Participation of both of these bands complements the event. Namgar and Argymak are among the most famous bands in the Ethno World genre. All those who have not yet become familiar with their music, I think, will make a real discovery for themselves. (…) This is a unique case when extraordinary and original music is on one side of the scale with drive and fiery energy on the other side. One will not only enjoy the talents of the musicians and their music, but also experience the drive and have a great time," Kasteyev said.
The cost of the tickets for the upcoming concert is 3000 tenge ($17).
