Bildrausch Film Fest Basel, held since 2011, is focusing on auteur and innovative films. Pictures awarded with international prizes and acknowledged at the world's prestige film festivals are shown at the festival annually. Famous Switzerland director Vadim Jendreyko is the head of the jury this year. Visitors of the festival will see Kazakhstan's Harmony Lessons on June 1.
Harmony Lessons, Emir Baigazin’s debut movie, was awarded with the Berlinale Silver Bear for the best camera work and with a prize of the prominent German newspaper Morgen Post at this year's Berlin Festival. Then the movie won a special jury prize for the Best Filmmaker’s Debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
