American hip-hop singer Aisha Fukushima gives concerts in 4 cities of Kazakhstan

American hip-hop singer Aisha Fukushima will perform in Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports. She will have concerts in Almaty, Astana, Pavlodar and Shymkent. The singer writes he own lyrics. “Stereotyped image of hip-hop is that it is an expressive recital full of slang and obscenities. But I don’t have such lyrics. I am singing about the world, the way it is now,” Fukushima said. “Besides my making shows I lecture on RAPtivism and performing arts at universities.” Aisha Fukushima’s lifestyle is a demonstration of a unique mixture of hip-hop songs and educative activities. She will lectures on the history and background of American hip-hop culture. In each of the cities she will be performing together with local hip-hop singers and break dancers. Fukushima is performing in Shymkent today, September 12, and Almaty citizens will enjoy her show on September 14. Both concerts will be held in local Mega shopping malls. Aisha Fukushima will sing on September 15 at Yestay Palace of Culture in Pavlodar and on September 19 in Astana. The Diplomatic Mission of the United States in Kazakhstan is the organizer of the concerts. According to the Mission, B-Boy documentary, a fascinating break dancing story, will be on 31 Channel on September 15.
