Tengrinews.kz – Several streets in Almaty will be closed on August 10 due to the concert of world-famous singer Jennifer Lopez, the city’s police department has announced.
According to the department’s traffic map, vehicle movement will be restricted from 16:00 on three sections:
- Baitursynov Street – from Shevchenko Street to Timiryazev Street
- Satpayev Street – from Seifullin Avenue to Baizakov Street
- Abay Avenue – from Seifullin Avenue to Mukanov Street

Jennifer Lopez will perform at Almaty’s Central Stadium on August 10. Earlier, the city akimat outlined preparations for the large-scale event.
Nearly 3,000 personnel — including police, military, private security, and volunteers — will ensure safety. Twenty-six checkpoints equipped with metal detectors and scanners will operate at the venue. The stadium will be divided into four fan zones, with ambulance crews and firefighters on standby. About 100 portable toilets will be installed around the perimeter.
To accommodate spectators, 50 buses will run on special routes. Navigation signs and LED screens will also be set up to help guide attendees.
