Tengrinews.kz - A powerful snowfall has caused traffic disruptions on the roads in Almaty, with jams reaching level 11.
In the evening, Almaty residents encountered traffic disruptions caused by heavy precipitation. Many central streets, including Al-Farabi, Abai, Raiymbek, Ryskulov avenues, Tole Bi, Rozybakiev, Seifullin, Zharokov, Auezov streets, and others, are practically at a standstill, with travel times for drivers increasing several times over.
A significant number of minor accidents were observed on the roads, further worsening the situation. Drivers are being urged to maintain distance and reduce speed due to the slippery roads.
Earlier, on November 6, hurricane-force winds swept through Astana, toppling structures, uprooting trees, and damaging cars and playgrounds. Social media has been flooded with photos and videos capturing the aftermath of the storm.
