As per the company, 13,410 cars were sold in the last five months (105.49 percent more that in the same period of 2010). Last year this volume of sales was reached only by the end of September. The doubling of last year's values happened, first of all, thanks to raising demand for cars assembled in Russia and Kazakhstan. Cars originating from the two countires were responsible for almost 64 percent of the sales increase in January-May. Import from far abroad and neighboring Uzbekistan contributed 33.1 and 2.9 percent to the dynamics of additional sales during the five months. 2,487 light vehicles were assembled in Kazakhstan in January-May, which is 3.53 times more than in the same period of 2010. Asia Auto manufactured 2,192 KIA, Chevrolet, Lada and Skoda cars. 295 SsangYong cars were assembled in AgroMashHolding Kazakhstan in the first 5 months of the year. In five months from the beginning of 2011 sales of light vehicles assembled in Kazakhstan made 2,382 cars, which is 5.66 times higher than the last year's amount.
