Tengrinews.kz – A female driver in Ust-Kamenogorsk was held accountable for changing her license plates.

The city resident replaced her car’s state license plate with a decorative plate bearing her surname and drove with it on the road to record a flashy video.

In addition to the license plate violation, police determined that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt while driving, for which she also received an administrative penalty.

As a reminder, operating a vehicle with devices that prevent the identification of state registration plates, or that alter or conceal them, carries an administrative arrest of up to five days and revocation of driving privileges for one year.

The fine for not wearing a seatbelt is 5 MCI (19,660 tenge).

The East Kazakhstan Region Police Department reminded the public that the installation and use of license plates must comply with established regulations. Violating these rules, as well as ignoring seatbelt use, can lead to serious consequences.
