Double winner of Dakar Firdaus Kabirov from KAMAZ-Master team won the second stage of the Silk Way rally in trucks category, the rally official website writes. On a special route Lipetsk-Volgograd Kabirov was 4 minutes 1 second ahead of Hans Stacey (Iveco) from Holland and 21 minutes 34 seconds ahead of his team partner Andrei Karginov. The crew of Kazakhstan pilot of Astana team Athur Ardavichus finished 23rd being 2 hours and 48 minutes behind the leader. The pilot of KAMAZ-Master Eduard Nikolayev, who was the leader in the first stage on July 10, had to leave the rally because of technical problems. Kabirov is the leader by the overall score. Karginov is 35 minutes 10 seconds behind him and Czech pilot Ales Loprais (Tatra). Ardavichus is ranked 16th. He is 2 hours 55 minutes behind Kabirov. Czech racer Stephane Peterhansel (Mini) was the first to finish in jeeps category. He was followed 15 minutes later by Krzysztof Holowcxyc (BMW) from Poland. French Christian Lavieille (Nissan) came third. Holowcxyc became the leader by the overall score in the passed stages.
