US officially begins selling citizenship: price announced

Tengrinews.kz – U.S. citizenship is being offered for purchase through a website created for obtaining the government’s “Trump Gold Card.” Earlier, President Donald Trump described it as a fast track to citizenship when he announced the website's launch.

Anyone can apply for the program, but in reality, only wealthy foreigners will be able to obtain permanent residency by paying one million dollars.

The website states that applicants must pay 15,000 dollars for Department of Homeland Security processing fees. After verification and a contribution of one million dollars, one can quickly obtain a residence permit through the “Trump Gold Card.” The process takes several weeks.

Applicants must submit personal and financial information. However, the website warns that the card may be revoked if security risks arise.

“Those who have ever been subject to U.S. tax on non-U.S. income (e.g., U.S. citizens and resident aliens) are not eligible to apply for the Trump Platinum Card,” the website states.

The 15,000-dollar application fee is non-refundable.

What else

A “Platinum Card” is also expected to launch soon. With it, for a contribution of 5 million dollars, a person will be able to live in the United States for up to 270 days a year without paying taxes.

Earlier, Trump again attempted to end birthright citizenship in the U.S. This effort aimed to deny citizenship to children born in the country to undocumented parents or foreigners with temporary immigration status.
