Tengrinews.kz - You can get 8 million tenge for moving to Spain. Interesting offers await those who are ready to exchange the noise of the metropolis for the tranquility of mountain valleys and remote rural regions, according to The Spaces.

Spain offers a unique opportunity for those who dream of a quiet life in the mountains: the small town of Ponga, located in the heart of the Picos de Europa mountain range, is willing to pay new residents to move there. This offer could attract the attention of both nature lovers and those who want to change their lives.

Ponga

The town of Ponga, surrounded by green valleys and crystal-clear rivers, is offering £2 461 (approximately 1.6 million tenge) to anyone who moves there. But the generosity of the local authorities does not end there: families who decide to have children will receive an additional £2 461 for each newborn.

The main condition for participants in the program is that they live in the town for at least five years. Ponga hopes to attract up to 600 new residents to breathe life into the town, whose population has dwindled due to migration to larger cities and a low birth rate.

The town is located within the Ponga Nature Park, which covers 20 000 hectares of forests, valleys and rivers. It is a great place for hiking, fishing, canoeing and other activities. The park is also home to a variety of animals, including brown bears, otters, wolves and birds of prey such as the golden eagle.

Extremadura

Ponga isn’t the only region in Spain offering financial support to new residents. The rural region of Extremadura, bordering Portugal, has a program called "Live in Ambroz," which provides grants of up to €15 000 (approximately 8 million tenge) to 200 remote workers. The money can be used to pay for rent, purchase farmland, and other needs related to the move.

Extremadura is one of the least populated regions of Spain, with a population of just over a million people. The cost of living here is low, making it attractive to freelancers and digital nomads. However, to participate in the program, you must be a legal resident of Spain and not have lived in Extremadura for the past six years.

Spain continues to attract new residents to sparsely populated regions to stimulate economic development and prevent the extinction of rural communities.

We previously published a list of countries willing to pay up to $90 000 (around 45 million tenge) to those willing to move there right now. More details in the material.
