Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomes the results of the telephone negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump on Ukraine, according to the President of Kazakhstan’s Advisor and Press Secretary, Ruslan Zheldibay.
"The head of our state believes that the leaders of the two countries have demonstrated a commitment to achieving long-term peace based on concrete agreements, which is crucial for ensuring Eurasian security," Ruslan Zheldibay stated on his Telegram channel.
He recalled that earlier, the President of Kazakhstan had called on all involved powers to begin a negotiation process on Ukraine to develop a "peace formula" and had supported China and Brazil’s peace plan at the BRICS summit.
On March 18, a telephone conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place, lasting two and a half hours.
CNN, citing a Russian source, reported that the phone call between Putin and Trump went "very well."
