The “most understanding judge” in the world has died

Tengrinews.kz – World media are reporting the death of Frank Caprio. He was often called “the most understanding and kindest” judge in the world. Videos of him delivering rulings with a smile gained massive popularity on social media.

A message appeared on his Instagram page stating that he passed away at the age of 88 “following a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.”

“Beloved around the world for his deep compassion, humility, and unwavering faith in the goodness of people, Judge Caprio touched millions through his work in the courtroom, and even more through his example of humanity. His warmth, humor, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him or hearing his words. He will be remembered not only as a respected judge, but as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend,” the statement read.

The American judge, who became famous far beyond his city thanks to touching courtroom videos in which he showed humanity and leniency toward people, gained a huge following online.

Videos featuring him continued to go viral even many years after the court sessions themselves.

According to media reports, Frank Caprio served nearly four decades as a judge in the Providence court, Rhode Island (USA).
