According to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are no Kazakhs among the victims or casualties of the terrorist attack in Turkey. This information was confirmed by the official representative of the ministry, Aibek Smadiyarov.
Earlier, the Minister of the Interior of Turkey, Ali Yerlikaya, reported that two attackers were killed during what he described as a "terrorist attack." Authorities stated that the assailants detonated explosives at a site and opened fire. According to updated information, the attack resulted in 5 fatalities, and 22 others were injured, with 19 still hospitalized and two in critical condition. Currently, three of the injured have been discharged from the hospital.
The attack occurred on Wednesday at the site of the Turkish aerospace company TUSAS in Ankara. According to Turkish media, witnesses initially heard an explosion at the gates of the facility, followed by gunfire.
Later, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense conducted an air operation in northern Syria and Iraq in response to the attack.
