Tengrinews.kz – Four shark attacks have occurred in Queensland, Australia, since the start of the year, according to dailymail.co.uk.

Around 3 PM, an emergency call was made about a shark attack in the waters off Moreton Island, Brisbane. This time, the predator bit a 29-year-old man in the abdomen and leg. A rescue helicopter transported him to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, where he is in stable condition.

The attack happened just weeks after 17-year-old Charlize Zmuda was fatally mauled by a shark near Bribie Island, directly opposite Moreton Bay, where the latest incident took place.

The teenager suffered severe upper-body injuries and died at the scene despite rescue efforts. The Saturday attack marks the fourth shark incident in Queensland since the start of the year.

This region is known for its pristine beaches and the Tangalooma wrecks—a collection of sunken boats intentionally submerged by the Queensland government, which have become a popular spot for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.
