Tengrinews.kz – Music producer and rapper Sean Combs, better known as P. Diddy, who was found guilty by a jury of transporting women for the purpose of prostitution, has been denied bail, according to The New York Post.
Diddy will remain in custody until sentencing. His defense had requested that he be released on $1 million bail pending sentencing.
Previously, Diddy was acquitted of the most serious charges — human trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. Despite this, the judge denied bail.
Judge Arun Subramanian stated that the founder of Bad Boy Records poses a danger if released due to a tendency toward violence, citing abuse he inflicted on his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
To recall, the main charges brought against Combs included racketeering, forced transportation of people for sexual exploitation, and involvement in prostitution.
