"The commission investigating the aviation incident has flown to Brazil. The black boxes will be delivered to CENIPA," the ministry stated.
The center is equipped with the necessary technical capabilities, specialized equipment, and a certified laboratory to analyze the data, the ministry noted.
This matter is under the direct supervision of the Head of State.
In accordance with the standards of Appendix 13 of the Chicago Convention, the state conducting the investigation ensures the reading of the records of the flight recorders and makes a decision on the choice of the country for reading and decoding the black boxes.
Earlier, the Ministry of Transport reported that Kazakhstan would send the black boxes of the crashed Azerbaijan Airlines plane to CENIPA. The decision was made "taking into account the ICAO recommendation and consultations with the aviation authorities of Azerbaijan and Russia."
