Tengrinews.kz – Former U.S. President Joseph Biden has commented on the news of being diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
“Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support,” Biden wrote on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Doctors diagnosed Biden with prostate cancer. The announcement was made by his office on Sunday, May 18. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer with a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) and bone metastases, which is considered a severe condition. It was reported that Biden and his family are currently discussing treatment options with his medical team.
Donald Trump, Barack Obama, and Kamala Harris all extended their wishes to Biden for a swift recovery from prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer is a malignant tumor that develops in the tissues of the prostate gland in men. It usually occurs after the age of 50 and can remain asymptomatic for a long time. When detected early, it is highly treatable.
