He wrote his opinion in X.

"If the climate change explanation were true, Texas, which has twice the forest area of ​​California, would have roughly twice the wildfires that destroy homes," the publication says.

The businessman believes that climate change is indeed happening, but slowly.

"The issue with LA was failure to create fire breaks and clear brush, combined with failure to ensure sufficient water supply and terrible mismanagement at the state, county and city level," he noted.

Earlier, powerful fire started in a Los Angeles neighborhood where celebrities live. The situation with the fires remains critical. The death toll has risen to 16 people. About 12 000 homes have been destroyed, and the fire in the Pacific Palisades suburb has grown overnight, with about 9500 hectares already burned.

More than 180 000 people have been forced to leave their homes in the past few days.
