Tengrinews.kz - Tim Cook is donating $1 million to the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump, according to Axios.

As journalists noted, Cook will make the donation personally, and not on behalf of the company, as "believes the inauguration is a great American tradition, and is donating to the inauguration in the spirit of unity."

In addition to Tim Cook, large American companies have made donations to the Donald Trump inauguration fund. Among them are Toyota, Ford, General Motors, Amazon, Meta, OpenAI, Uber, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Kraken, Coinbase and many others.

American media write that Donald Trump's inauguration, which will take place on January 20, 2025, may collect much more donations than Joe Biden's inauguration in 2021: $200 million (according to sources from The New York Times) versus $62 million, respectively.
