"Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced that nine people had been charged for looting and burglary related to the Eaton and Palisades Fires. Hochman also said one person had been charged for arson. Sentences could include decades to life in prison.
Three of those charged are accused of stealing $200,000 in goods from a home in Mandeville Canyon. Four others allegedly broke into a residence in Altadena and stole a number of items, including the Emmy award of the person who lived there," the media report says.

Some social media users asked for the names of the looters to be published.
"It's tragic to have to evacuate and wonder if you'll have a home but to then be burglarized as well?", "This is so terrible and sad," "Why steal an award? It is easy to figure out that it is not yours," people wrote in the comments.
